Saturday 17th June 2017

What happened in June 2015 was truly amazing. After a couple of small showers, the sun came out and shone for the rest of  the day and on into the evening. The music flowed from some great local bands, and later on we were treated to Deborah Rose singing with Grey Wolf and the O'Farrels, we were privileged to have Robert Plant sing a couple of songs with them.  The Robbie Blunt band played beautifully, and finally Andy Fairweather Lowe gave us an amazing  performance.

There were many other bands, volunteers, sponsors, the WI, sound engineers, security, lighting, marquees and all the stallholders, and last but not least, we had a great audience who listened to the music and danced the night away. A big thank you to everyone.

Tenbury Music Festival 2016

A hard act to follow. However, we have again attracted a whole host of truly talented musicians, who are helping support the fund raising in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Steve Gibbons band, Robbie Blunt band, Quill are our headliners this year, with fresh young talent in the shape of Goodnight Lenin, who played at Glastonbury last year,  ADO (Alternative Dubstep Orchestra), an up and coming, seven piece band of musicians from Birmingham. Sprinkled with established acts like the Steve Ajao Blues band, Dave Onions, Fabulous Bordellos and Obscure.

Then, there is the Acoustic stage, where there will be an eclectic mix of fresh new talent, alongside one or two old hands. It will be a place to chill out to gentler, but beautiful music, in a peace and love atmosphere.

Rain Marquee ~ We will have a very large marquee, so that people can shelter from the sun if it gets too hot! (or rain)

Food is being provided for by some of the stallholders that came last year (yummy ostrich burgers, paella, West Indian food and Vegetarian cuisine to name but a few)

In addition to the Beer tent, we will have a cocktail bar, with drinks served out the back of an old surfing VW.

There will be crafts and workshops for you to muse your way through, with Security, Stewards and First Aiders provided for your safety.

It just leaves me to wish everyone  involved with the Festival,  performers and visitors to Tenbury Wells, a great day.

Enjoy Tenbury Music Festival 2016, we look forward to welcoming you there.
